Rift game guide showing if marksman is a good choice for playing?
I am planning to choose Marksman but I want to hear comments from gamers, should I choose this character? Or will I just get bored using it?
On a personal note, a Marksman will not be my choice of character. They really don’t have many things or skills for a gamer to use and they are boring. They do not fit well in a PvE, but they are good in a PvP. If you want to use this type, make sure to use repelling shot, static shot, on the double and hasty departure, all of these can be reached in the tree.

The Rage That Guides $10.38 Proud (and outspoken) purveyors of vegan straight edge ideals, the members of Philadelphia’s Kingdom may not promise a barrel of laughs (their mothers also think they look a little gaunt, here, have a piece of cake!), but their full-length debut, The Rage That Guides, is commendably current and topical — even by hardcore standards. For example: “Real Crime” challenges the controversial “Stop and Frisk” policy adopted by many major cities in the aftermath of 9/11, despite the fact such visual profiling is utterly unconstitutional; and “Black Friday” (an unusually deliberate and dread-inducing track) memorializes the Walmart employee who was trampled to death in Long Island by hordes of Thanksgiving weekend bargain shoppers. Other notable standouts find the band railing against political corruption (“Hollow Bones”), sexual double standards (“Pythoness”), and expounding their vegan beliefs, naturally (“Bathory”), but rarely succumbing to frank nihilism, as they do on the truly hopeless “Voluntary Human Extinction.” Through it all, vocalist Davin’s forcefully rhythmic attack often recalls Agnostic Front legend Roger Miret, and Dave Hayler’s metallic edged guitars reveal an appreciation for the Hatebreeds of the world without losing sight of simpler punk building blocks like those of “33/45,” which even features a few lead guitar licks! In sum, there’s no shortage of subject matter, desire, and good intentions in Kingdom’s arsenal, and that should bode well for them within the usual limitations of the hardcore scene, if not anywhere near the mainstream. Surely, the band wouldn’t want it any other way. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi Performers: James A. Pollard, Jr. – Gong |

Light That Guides You Home $18.99 Light That Guides You Home, the second solo album from Blue Rodeo co-leader Jim Cuddy, doesn’t deviate much from his band’s roots rock, jangle pop sound. Which is good news for followers of the veteran Canadian band, or just admirers of their smart rock craftsmanship. The winning title track immediately alerts listeners that Cuddy’s at the top of this game. The tune, an apologia for a hopeful reconciliation, is a chimey mid-tempo rocker that brings to mind the old Del Amitri hit, “Always the Last to Know.” The record is rife with tales of damaged or broken relationships. The bittersweet “Maybe Sometimes” finds Cuddy lamenting “there’s never the chance to say goodbye” amidst picturesque imagery of the sun rising over Lake Louise and fond memories of “quiet smiles and silent walking.” On the spare “Pull Me Through,” he admits, “There’s messages I should return/And people I should call/I’m still tripping over echoes/Left lying in the hall.” The reflective “She Gets Down” holds the telling insight: “Sometimes the world we want is different than the one we find.” While literate lyrics, long a Cuddy hallmark, are in fine evidence here, this album isn’t a starch dry effort in songcraft. One of the most memorable tracks is the rollicking “Married Again.” A twangy duet featuring Kathleen Edwards, it contains the great couplet “Sixteen bottles and a wedding trunk/Oughta be a law about marrying drunk.” Cuddy, who co-produced the CD with guitarist Colin Cripps, does a fine job of shifting moods and tempos throughout the disc. Strings and keyboards broaden Cuddy’s guitar-based musical core. There’s even a muted trumpet solo that punctuates “Pull Me Through.” A good example of this variety comes with the stellar trio of tunes that conclude the album. The folk-poppy “Falling” flows into the quietly stirring “What She Said,” which is followed by the rousing set-closer “Stagger In.” While this disc might just seem like a busman’s holiday from Blue Rodeo, Cuddy nonetheless has fashioned a thoroughly absorbing solo outing populated with memorable roots rock that resonates in the heart and the mind. ~ Michael Berick, Rovi Performers: Amy Laing – Cello; Chris Coole – Banjo; Claudio Vena – Viola; Jonathan Craig – Viola; Kathleen Edwards – Vocals (Background); Oh Susanna – Vocals (Background); Richard Armin – Cello; Anne Lindsay – Violin; |
